RK Launcher



Use the optional RK Launcher if you want to start the game from a desktop icon rather than from the RK website Play button.

The Remnant Knights (RK) Launcher is small in size (less than 400kb), so it downloads fast. It's perfect for those who want to launch the game straight from their desktop just like most other client-based games. It has the same benefits and connects to the same Kalydo cloud based game client as the RK website, so you'll avoid huge patches, big downloads, and long installations. You can always choose to play Remnant Knights via the RK website even after installing this RK Launcher, just not at the same time. The main difference is that you will start RK by clicking an icon and logging in via the RK Launcher rather than opening your browser and clicking the 'Play' button located at the top of any RK web page.

  1. Click the "Download RK Launcher" button above to download the RKSetup.exe file (only takes a few seconds). See file download steps for your browser below (Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome).
    2.      a) Chrome users should click RKSetup.exe within the bottom status bar to begin installation:

         b) Firefox users should click 'Save File' when they see the following popup:

         Once download is finished, double click the file in the Downloads window:

         c) Internet Explorer users should click 'run' within the bottom status bar:

    Note: Click 'run' if you see a verification warning similar to below. The RKSetup.exe file is guaranteed to be safe
               for download, but this appears because GameSamba is a smaller publisher.

          In Chrome and Firefox, click 'Run' when the following screen appears:

         There are two variations you may see in the bottom status bar of Internet Explorer (Click 'Run'):

         In this case, click 'Actions', then 'More Options' in the screen below, then click 'Run anyway'.

  2. Once you have opened the RKSetup.exe file, the Installer will load as follows. Click the 'Install' button and wait for Kalydo download screen to complete.

         Once install is complete, you'll arive at the following screen. Click 'Finish' without removing check mark from 'Run Remnant
         Knights Launcher'.

  3. Double-click the Remnant Knights Launcher icon on your desktop to open the RK Launcher.

  4. Sign in with your Username and Password and click the 'LOGIN' button.
    5.      a) If you haven't previously installed Remnant Knights via RK Website, it will load now via Kalydo player. This will only
         happen the first time. On subsequent game startups, the launcher will verify the software version, load any patches
         since you last played, and get you into Remnant Knights much quicker.

  5. Once game client has been updated, Remnant Knights will start. After a few logo screens, click 'OK' at
    the 'Select Server' screen.
    6. Select Server

    Note: Remnant Knights will startup in a 1024x768 window. you can press 'Alt+Enter' on your keyboard to switch
               to full screen and back.
